Two things you must do in London!

I have been to London four times, and it is one place that I don’t think I will ever get bored of. There is just so much to do in London. The transport is great, the shopping is amazing and you can get some great deals on flights which makes it ideal for a cheap but brilliant weekend trip. I did two things on my latest trip to London that I have to share with you so that they can be top of your to-do list if you are visiting soon! Enjoy, Samantha x

Breakfast at the Shard.

This is something you need to experience! The views are incredible, the service is impeccable and the food is delicious. The restaurant where we had breakfast was called Aqua Shard and on the 31st floor. We booked a few weeks in advance for this through their own website (Click Here). They give you a slot for two hours which is the perfect amount of time for you to eat and enjoy the views of London City. Even the view from the bathrooms are incredible!! There is a great choice on the menus, from pastries to full English Breakfasts there is something for everyone. I got the Vegetarian Full English Breakfast and it was amazing – honestly one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Take a look at the menu here.

Dinner & Drinks at SkyGarden Bar.

Wow. That is the only way I can truly explain this bar. It offers a 360 degree view of London with stunning decor. We decided to go in the evening time because we had seen the skyline of London in the day when we were at the Shard, so it was great to see the skyline in both day and night! We reserved a table in the Darwin Brasserie at this link, and we had cocktails overlooking London. After your meal you can then go down to the main skygarden bar where there is a cocktail bar, seating and and a great atmosphere. Be aware though that it is a bit cold in the main bar, we had to keep our jackets on! It is brilliantly laid out, with a restaurant in the middle but above you, you can walk around the whole perimeter of the venue and see the whole of London. As we were there for St. Patrick’s Day, we could see The London Eye lit up green, which was really cool. This is definitely a must do for the views and live music – but you need to book about 3 weeks in advance, as it books up very quickly!!
